Steve Wilhite - President/CEO

Steve has guided Summit Energy as President since 2002, and President and CEO since 2007. He has been an integral part of the Summit leadership team since 2001, when he joined the staff to oversee marketing and strategic planning. Under Steve's leadership, Summit Energy has grown to be an energy management and sustainability services firm managing $20 billion in energy spend for more than 650 clients around the world.

Prior to Summit Energy, Steve provided consulting services to several Fortune 500 companies that compete in the deregulated retail energy industry. Steve has also held the following positions: Vice President of Marketing and Operations for FPL Energy Services; Vice President of Marketing for Duke-Louis Dreyfus; Manager of Energy Supply for International Paper; and several positions in Marketing and Rates for Florida Power & Light Co.

Steve graduated from Wheaton College with a B.S. in Mathematics and received his M.B.A. from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
 
 

Mark Boyer - Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President

As COO and Executive Vice President, Mark guides the company’s execution and strategic direction. Since his appointment to COO in 2000, Mark has played a key role in ensuring operational excellence company-wide. Mark initially joined Summit Energy in 1995 to lead the energy risk management group and to manage client accounts.

Mark started his energy career at EnTrade Corporation, first selling natural gas to industrial end-users and ultimately leading EnTrade's wholesale gas marketing effort until that company's sale to Tenneco (El Paso) in 1993. Mark then co-founded APB Energy, focusing on the brokerage of energy risk management products.

Mark graduated from Haverford College with a B.A. in English.
