Summit Acquires Majority Interest in MCE Professional Services

Addition of Mexico-Based Energy Efficiency Company Enhances Service Offering

Summit Energy Services, Inc., a leading privately held energy management firm, today announced it has acquired a majority interest in MCE Professional Services, Inc., based in Celaya, Mexico. MCE, founded in 2003 by Thomas Mort and Ericka Santoyo, assists industrial and commercial facilities with the implementation of energy cost improvement programs through utility analysis, measurement and energy management training.

Mr. Wilhite continued, “This service will help companies deal proactively with the increasing challenges of climate change and carbon reduction by attacking energy waste within their facilities.” By working with MCE in 2006, Summit helped their clients identify energy reduction initiatives that identified savings of more than 100 million kilowatt hours, the environmental impact equivalent of planting approximately 20,000 acres of forest.
