Summit Energy Expands Energy Management Services to the United Kingdom
Summit Energy, a global energy management and sustainability services firm, has expanded its European operation to the United Kingdom. In recognition of the company’s new office, Summit Energy is hosting Much Ado About Energy, an evening of energy discourse and networking at Shakespeare’s Globe in London on June 15, 2010.
“Establishing an office in the United Kingdom enables us to better serve our European clients who operate in a unique market requiring specialized expertise,” said Steve Wilhite, CEO of Summit Energy. “To mark the magnitude of our European expansion,” Mr. Wilhite continued, “we are inviting clients and key business contacts to our upcoming event in London.”
At Much Ado About Energy, Mr. Wilhite will give the keynote address, providing the latest perspectives on key global energy trends. In addition, the event will present attendees with the opportunity to speak with Summit experts about commodity markets, regulatory changes, energy sustainability, and the importance of having a corporate energy strategy.
Summit Energy’s growth in the United Kingdom comes after several years of deliberate focus on increasing the company’s European presence. Summit’s expansion into this market was catalyzed by the 2006 acquisition of Belgium-based GfE Energy Management and further emphasized by the acquisition of European-based Siemat Energy.
