Summit Energy Acquires GfE Energy Management
Summit Energy Services, Inc., a leading privately held energy management firm, today announced it has acquired Belgium-based GfE Energy Management, one of the industry’s most respected European firms. Among supply-side energy management companies, Summit is now the largest, in terms of both energy spend under management and professional staff size.
“Our two organizations have long had much in common in terms of our independence, our mission and our mutual respect,” noted Jim Headlee, CEO of Summit Energy. “Summit and GfE share the goal of providing companies with world class energy management services. We have both invested in the human and technological resources required to exceed the expectations of our clients, and we look forward to continuing in that direction as an organization of like-minded professionals.”
“Summit is recognized and respected within our industry around the world and we believe the unique strengths and talent GfE brings to this combination will only enhance that position,” added GfE CEO Jacques D'Hondt. “We are honored to be part of it.”
